Because I turned my fond childhood memories of cake-baking with my mum into a career that has earned accolades from around the globe.

My baking career started when I decided to experiment with selling American-style cupcakes at a local London market with my sister. Lucky for all of us, it was an immediate hit.
I’m a professionally trained Artist and Graphic Designer turned Baker.
One thing led to another, and within a year I had left my university professorship to become a full-time cake maker.

Now I run one of the most popular cake studios in London. Our cakes and cupcakes are regularly featured in magazines, at high-society events (even royal events!) all around the globe, and on the patisserie menu at the world-renowned Harrods luxury department store.
Two things set a Rosalind Miller cake apart from the rest:

Art is my passion and I love bringing an artistic design sensibility to my cakes… but nothing is more important to me than offering a cake that tastes as good as it looks.

Scrumptious cakes were always a part of my life. 

My mother worked very hard to raise four kids, but she managed to enjoy baking in her spare time. I guess you could say it was her “me time,” but she would have said it was just a hobby.  

Nobody’s cake could beat my mother's cake recipes. The flavors and the texture were the height of childhood bliss for me. She showed me how making celebration cakes for the family was a special expression of love that is never forgotten.

After she retired, she learned how to make flowers out of what’s called gum paste or flower paste (sort of like a thicker fondant). And with that, she started making celebration cakes for the whole family. My daughter, Yasmine, spent many childhood hours making cakes with her Grandma. 

When I was 18, my mother gave me her book of recipes, and this is truly one of the greatest gifts of my life.

I used her recipes to make those cupcakes that sold out every week at the London market. Today, these recipes are the foundation for every cake we make at Rosalind Miller Cakes.
To me, cake means family.

No! That’s the thing…anyone can master it! You just need the right recipes and methods, which is where we come in. This course will work beautifully for beginning bakers all the way to experienced hobbyists who want to make a business with cakes. Kids will love getting in the kitchen to help, as well!

Do I need any special equipment for Rosalind’s Cake Lab? 
We highly recommend you use a few easy-to-find tools of the trade to make the process significantly easier, but as long as you have some cake tins you should be able to bake up a delicious and beautifully decorated cake. You’ll receive a list of recommended resources and discount codes from our partner shop should you wish to purchase something.
Will these recipes work over here in the States?
Yes! We’ve included a conversion guide to help you bake successfully in the US, even if we don’t use the exact same ingredients. You have nothing to worry about as long as you follow the included conversion charts. 
What happens after I enroll? How does this work?
Once you enroll, you’ll be emailed access to your course dashboard. Our courses are hosted on a website called Teachable. From there, you’ll be able to access the lessons, recipes, resource lists, and everything else that comes with the class. You can use any computer, smartphone, or tablet browser, and there’s also a Teachable app available for iOS.

The course materials include videos and PDFs. You can go through each lesson at your own pace and keep track of your progress inside the dashboard. You’ll have unlimited access to the course, and there’s no time limit to finish.
